Duke of Cumberland had the sad task of closing the Fleetwood-Belfast service in 1928. She entered the service in 1909 together with her sister ship, Duke of Argyll. Her triple screws were driven by a direct drive, turbine engine and she was built by Denny at Dumbarton. When the Belfast route closed she was transferred to the Tilbury-Dunkirk route as Piccard. In 1936 she was sold to Greece as Heliopolis.
